Why Me, Lord?
I’m sure you have heard the phrase! Well I guess I fit in that group also. My truck broke down and it cost $604 to get it fixed…$604 that I did not have. Why me, Lord? After all, I’ve been as good as most people. Why is this happing to me? Why are you punishing me this way? Then the TV went on the blink, and so did the dishwasher, and the clothes dryer, and the lawn mower, and even the boat had problems! As if that wasn’t enough the water pipe at the meter busted and of course it was on my side of the meter! Why me, Lord? Besides that, why, at my age and old man, should I still be having financial problems? Why am I not “set” financially like some others I know? Why have you denied me opportunities for fortune that you have given to others? Why me, Lord?
When I find myself starting to think like this, it sometimes helps for me to ask the same questions about other aspects of my life. Lord, what have I done that’s so good that you should have blessed me with a truck, a TV set, a dishwasher, a clothes dryer, a lawn mower, a boat and running water? Why did you give me all these things anyway? Why me, Lord? “What have I done?”
“What have I done?”
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
“I forgave you”
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
“I will supply all your needs”
19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Our Loving God.
